In a bid to keep wedding costs down or to add importance to your everyday stationery, one journalist has created a list of DIY tips for personal touches that keep the pennies in your pocket.
To make a wedding invitation look special or to give an extra bit of oomph to a letter, one DIY tutorial says making your own envelope liners are just the trick.
Handy hint maestro Sally Cameron Griffiths also says it's a little nod to history, when envelope liners were essential to protect the letter from bad weather.
She says all you need is an envelope, the paper of your choice for the lining, double-sided sticky tape and a guillotine for smooth, straight edges.
The HSM CM2606 guillotine is a nifty piece of kit for slicing and dicing at home. Its A5 size will fit neatly on your desk and it has a hand protection guard to make sure your fingers don't end up in the letter!
